Dear Fellow Teachers,
A very Happy Diwali and Saal Mubarak to all of us. Hope everyone had a great time. I want to start by thanking all of you on behalf of Vidyalaya Community for the great job we are doing. Parents who bring their kids to the school every Sunday Morning and teach them are the backbone of any Sunday School and we are all proud to be part of this group. Please see Diwali updates below. I hope you are having a great year at Vidyalaya so far. We have finally closed admissions for this school year as of end of October. We continued enrollment a little longer this year to accommodate classrooms that could have used more enrollment. We appreciate your patience while we got the new student placements sorted out. I am forwarding your most recent class roster and attendance sheet for your class. Look them over and please let us know right away if you see any discrepancies.Facility Usage
You have received some emails from me this year about classroom usage and etiquette. This is because of concerns raised by the Brooklawn administration, and because we are required to send email reminders to every teacher when there are any complaints. Thank you for taking the requests seriously and thank you for following the recommendations for proper usage of the school property. We know you are very careful and responsible, and we appreciate your support in making sure we can keep the building rental privileges for this year and for years to come.Presentations
The language presentations have been going very well. Please keep track of the dates for your presentation based on the email I sent you last month. You can also follow the calendar which is available on our website by clicking Calendar 2013-14 (updated 11/5/2013). Please feel to speak with any member of the LCT regarding the presentation topics and any questions or concerns.Language Classes
Our next Language teachers' meeting will be on January 5th, 2014. We will begin to plan our next language seminar soon, so please let us know about any topics of interest to you. We will talk more about the seminar at our next teachers' meeting.I also hope you have all the materials and books that you need to teach your class. If there is something specific you would like to have please let me know. Shalini has taken care of the Hindi books for this year already. Telugu books are being printed. Gujarati books are unable to be ordered because we need someone to pick them up from the store in Ahmedabad personally. If you know someone who can pick them up and ship them to us via mail, please let Malini Joshi know. In the meantime, we do have extra books that may be of use to you. Please contact Jagruti Goswami for those.
