Class began with the students reading their constructive arguments aloud to the class while Shivam timed and graded them. Then, the students revised and edited their writing based off of Shivam’s feedback. Shivam also went around and helped each student individually whenever necessary. Next, each student read a couple of paragraphs from an article to work on their public speaking skills. After that, Shivam passed out the debate scoring sheet for rebuttals. Shivam reviewed the sheet and gave a detailed explanation of what a rebuttal was. Finally, the class ended with an impromptu rebuttal exercise where each student was required to spontaneously refute Shivam’s arguments
