Volunteers Social: December 20th, 2015 after school This event is quickly approaching. The organizers of the event are collecting $15 from all volunteers who are interested in joining this fun event. Please contact Niti Jatkar or Malini Arora for further details.

Newsletter Club had a great initial meeting. The kids came up with great ideas for articles, and have selected topics that they will be working on. Language Teachers attended an educational seminar this past Sunday, and therefore, there are no language class updates this week. Here are pictures from the seminar.

Culture Seminar: Culture teachers are invited to attend the annual seminar on December 13th, Sunday, from 9:30am to 11:45am in Room A2. Language teachers are reminded to cover the culture classes this week.

Sports Club: Thanks a lot students for an awesome response to our sports club initiative. This club will be an after-school meet for about 45 mins or so that will be held on most Sundays through April. We will introduce kids to sports loved and played in India, like carrom, kho-kho, chess, badminton etc. All culture classes will also devote one class in the year to come and spend their culture class time slot with this club as a way of introduction. Like most enrichment activities in Vidyalaya, this club will have a nominal fee ($30 for the whole year), to encourage serious participation.

We had our intro to sports club meeting this Sunday where enthusiastic students participated in Carrom and Kho-Kho games. Over 20 students have signed up for the club already and we are open to accept more. You can join by signing in with the club volunteers this coming Sunday.
