We are thankful to Mr. Don Mullan for speaking to the students and teachers of C7, C8 and C9 as well as parents about his experiences while growing during violent times in Northern Ireland. He spoke about how Mahatma Gandhiji's non-cooperation movement inspired him and changed his life. He also talked to the students about the importance of getting a good education, believing in themselves and appreciating their cultural roots.
We would also like to thank Sanjai Narain for inviting Mr. Mullan and for setting up this informative session.
Friends - Thanks a lot for participating in Vidyalaya Holi celebration and for rocking the school with Holi masti. The weather turned out to be sunny 68 degrees and that helped rachet up the enthusiasm. Holi never fails to live up to its spiritied fun-filled expectations. Hot samosas, khaman, jalebi and chai topped off the experience nicely. Stay tuned for the pictures for the event, we will email you the links.
I want to thank the following volunteers; this event would not have been possible without their enthusiastic participation: - Praveen/Anurag for helping with the logistics; Renu Narain, Rob Soni, Anshuman, Arjun Khadse, Amit Tailor, Sonal Kumar, Prasad Gaitonde, Shipra Goyal, Asmita and several others who helped make the Holi packets; Vikas Jain, Rakesh Maniar, Sailaja, Purvita Patel and others who helped out with the snacks distribution and Hament Patel for the pictures. Several of you pitched in with the cleanup and we left the school grounds in a great shape. I truly appreciate all your help.
