Volunteers Social: Dec. 20th, 2015. All teachers and volunteers who have served hours at Vidyalaya or plan to serve hours later in the year, are all welcome to join us for a party this Sunday, Dec. 20th after school in the cafeteria. We will have dosa and south indian food served hot to complement the cool weather. If you're able to join us, please email spa@vidyalaya.org as soon as possible so we can get a head count for the catering order. We are collecting $15 per person for all guests. If you have any questions, you can email Niti or Anurag. Hope to see you all there for some good food, fun, music and dancing! Let's celebrate the holidays together and spend some quality time getting to know one another.

Clothing Drive for Chennai - called off for 12/20. Thanks a lot folks for your great response to Seema's initiative to help Chennai. She collected several boxes of clothes and cash gifts to defray the shipping expenses. Along with Vidyalaya, she held the drive at Parsippany PAL; she got overwhelming response overall, so she will NOT be collecting anymore clothes this coming Sunday, unlike what we had communicated earlier. Serious donors can feel free to contact her at 973-960-7966 if they still want to help.

Culture Teachers attended an educational seminar this past Sunday, and therefore, there are no culture class updates this week.

Sports club We had our second successful and fun meet of the sports club. Kids played several rounds of dodgeball and some tried their hand at how to hold and handle the cricket bat. Overall, we are very happy with the enthusiastic response and will continue to host the club through most Sundays. Note that we will NOT have the sports club meet on 12/20 as the cafeteria is not available.

Publishing Club met for the second time this past Sunday and we thank you for your lively participation. Keep those creative ideas coming and please work on the home assignments given out by Shefali. The club will reconvene after the winter break.
