Thank you Note
Hello friends,
We just wanted to send out a note to thank and congratulate all of you for a successful Annual Function 2015. It truly takes a village to make this event tick and we are grateful for all the help and camaraderie. We were about 450 strong yesterday and over 150 volunteers participated to make it successful.
Despite getting access to the facility only at 9:40 due to a miscommunication with custodians, the show started on time and finished around 20 mins later than the anticipated timeline. This could not have been possible without your resilience and a lot of help from all of you. We would like to recognize the participants for their tremendous work, listed here in no particular order.
Language Teachers: You rock!!! The passion, dedication and hard work that you brought to the table was on display. Kids were confident and were having fun as well. The event showcased your year's worth of volunteering efforts perfectly. Also, want to thank the parents who were integral in bringing the kids in for rehearsal on Saturday and helping the teachers to get our students to perfect their acts.
Decorations/Setup team: Seema Mudgal, Sagar Sonar, Praveen and Shalini Mehrotra, Tanu Khanna, Ritwik Jana, Ankur Agarwal, Rupali Jain and team - from the welcoming Ganesha table at the auditorium entrance to the map of India behind the stage - your decorative flair added a festive and elegant air to the event. The saree and banister decorations were beautiful. A wonderful job! Thanks to the creativity of your team!!
Registration team: Ritwik Jana, Smita & Jayna Patel, Nimisha Tamot, Anju Sinha, Shefali Kumar and team - registration went smoothly despite us getting access to the facility only 20 mins before the show started. Appreciate all your help and enthusiasm in selling the raffle tickets. Great job guys!
Brochure Design: Mahendra Patel, Purva Dave, Shalini Mehrotra... An excellent job! Brochure always comes together in the last week under a lot of time pressure with dozens of iterations. Thanks for making it all happen on time and in a quality manner.
Stage Management team: A very well managed effort - Rajesh Sansi, Mayank Goswami, Pankaj Mistry and team - hats off to you!! You kept track of the audio, mic and props requirements for various items and worked very efficiently with all the participants and the audio guys. Ravi Saran used to coordinate the show in prior years; we got the benefit of that deep experience in his superb coordination with the lighting guys. Thanks!! Special thanks also due to Jayna Patel for her help in pre-recording several acts. Thanks to Praveen Mehrotra for his help with the projector and his guidance and advice throughout.
MCs: Vineeta Khanna - your student MCs did an excellent job of introducing the items and kept the event humming along. Your presence of mind is admirable, we are very grateful for your continued contributions to Vidyalaya. The Orator R Us program has been providing great results for the past several years. Keep up the great work!!
Prayer & Anthem: Mukesh Dave, Anju Saran, Dipika Sota and Manju Kumar...you kicked off the event with shlokas that we love and cherish. Thanks to ShastriJi again for starting the event off on an auspicious note. American National Anthem went very well and it was wonderful to see the C2A children singing the Indian National Anthem in their sweet voices to close the event.
Photography: Sanjai Narain and Dilip Mandavia - thank you for capturing the precious moments for us throughout the show and afterwards. We are looking forward to seeing the pics from your fancy cameras that you put to great use with your keen eye. Several others also took pictures, we'll try to get them in one place and post them on Vidyalaya Website so that everyone can access them.
Videography: Bhupesh Mistry and Mahesh Mistry - thanks a lot for the painstaking effort of videotaping the entire event with your two camera setup. There will be a lot of effort spent afterwards as well in editing and finishing. A lot of parents missed seeing their kids perform as they were volunteering elsewhere and will be looking forward to the video, including us. We truly appreciate your help.
Fund Raising: Devesh Shah and team - Thank you for getting the sponsors and the raffle prizes! An event of this magnitude can't be successful without the contributions from our sponsors. Big thanks to Bala Iyer and Telebrands/Idea Village/Ontel for donating the gift hampers for our raffle. Our raffle was successful only because of your donations! Special thanks to Tarun Sethi for donating as a grand sponsor for this year yesterday. v
Dignitaries: Thanks to Monisha Khadse for coordinating with the eminent dignitaries for the show and arranging for their gifts. Your PR help keeps us engaged with the local community champions. Some of our honorary dignitaries were - Mayor of Parsippany-Troy Hills Jamie Barbiero; Undersheriff William Schiavella; Ragini Goel, Morris County Human Relations Commission; Vice President of Parsippany Troy Hills Council, Robert Peluso; Assemblyman Jay Webber, Morris County Sheriff Ed Rochford; Community Relations Representative Samara Forbes; Jounalist and Hindi teacher Ashok Ojha; Vice President of Central Hindi Institute in India Dr. Kamal Goyanka; Community Activist Sue Waldman.
Lunch/Food distribution: Pradeep Vashisth - your team rocked!! Good food and its efficient distribution is always a corner piece for the success of any event. The quality of food was great, thanks to Aashirwad Restaurant. Two buffet setups kept the lines moving quickly. Eshan Saran, Keshav Sota, Salil Khanna, Anikait Sota, Darsha Mistry, Joshna Mistry were some of the people we saw helping with the food service; I am sure there were several more that helped while we were away - great job team!!
Media Coverage: Thanks to Nick Limanov. We had the coverage from Parsippany Focus.
Mahendra Patel: Last but not the least, huge thanks to our very own MP for coordinating this big scale event. You had been working tirelessly for months to get it all to come together and hang together. We truly appreciate it. Kudos!
We're surely missing to mention some names who helped for an event of this size and would like to apologize for that. If you would like to share your thoughts and help to make the future events even better, please contact us and we'll work together towards it.
Regards
Asmita and Anurag
